Lets go Down to the River to Pray

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.” Isaiah44:3 As I went down in the river to pray Studying about that good ol’ way And who shall wear the starry crown? Good Lord show me the way! O sisters let’s go down Let’s go down, come on down O sisters let’s go down Down in the river to pray As I went down in the river to pray Studying about that good ol’ way And who shall wear the … Continue reading Lets go Down to the River to Pray

Lets face it humans are the most hypocritical and blameful beings on earth. We like to judge others. Whenever a celebrity or a local town fool does something incredible stupid we jump into social media mode and attack, attack, attack! We enjoy throwing stones at  houses made out of glass.  Worst of all is how we cannot blame ourselves.  Yes, you do make mistakes just like everyone else you’re blaming you sinful beast!  For some reason, man  finds a thrill from judgment. We look at judgement like an end to all of our problems which is really a lame excuse. Man really likes to blame … Continue reading Judgement

First off Merry Christmas! The other day at our local Bible book shop( which is sadly going out of business) I picked up a copy of Lecrae’s novel titled Unashamed. Lecrae is an insanely talented rap artist. His novel was basically a review of his life’s achievements,  biggest fails, and also revealing God’s presence in his life. Lecrae is a true warrior for Christ. He wears his faith like a badge of honor. I enjoyed this novel very much. It was an inspiring book to read as we celebrate the gift of Christmas. I admire Lecrae’s message. He doesn’t identify himself a Christian … Continue reading Lecrae-Unashamed

The worst Election Year Ever( But Do not Be Afraid)

So if you clicked on this blog I bet you’re expecting a long, ranty post about how terrible this election year is. If so, you’d be partially correct. Originally I was planning on a post like that, but I got a better idea in mind. I will dive into some of my feelings about this election year, yet I wanted to use this post to point out a common mistake mortals make every single year, decade, century etc. Lets begin.   The election of 2016 has been down right dreadful. So our forty fifth president of the United States of America is expected to be either … Continue reading The worst Election Year Ever( But Do not Be Afraid)

Inspiring Verse for the Weekend

Let us be Christ like this weekend. Lets show others that the joy of the Lord is within us when we go out into the world. Lets bring peace and be a positive message.  If you see a police officer, military veteran,  fireman, doctor, or nurse thank them for all the good work they do. Be tolerant and kind to friends and family. Be fruitful and kind to those around us.  Help where help is needed.  We need to show Christ to the world. Let us build each other up instead of tearing each other down. God is good all time and all … Continue reading Inspiring Verse for the Weekend

Luke 18:9-14

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ 13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy … Continue reading Luke 18:9-14
