If you had only one TV, would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?

I actually do own only one TV[ 40 inch Samsung] and I keep it within my den.  I still live with my parents, so there is a TV in pretty much every room of the house. When I was little I also had a small TV in my bedroom, but I never used it much. I prefer, sitting on the sofa and watching TV from a living room/room instead of a bedroom.

Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story.

Nope 🙂

The most powerful force of life. Love has many different meanings. Love can make us do crazy things. Love changes lives. Love is powerful.

Last week was a bit stressful. My grandma has been in the hospital for over a week. She is recovering from hip surgery, so please keep her in your prayers. I’m, trying to find websites where I an get cool photos without, taking anyone’s credit or photos. I’ve heard of a few people, getting in trouble for that lately, so I do not want that happening with my blogs haha. Spring has arrived which has me excited, although it’s mostly been damp and dark outside.  I’m hoping to  get started on chapter 5 of my story today as well as tweak the poems I have created for my poetry assignment.

Good Friday

For jwhile we were still weak, at the right time k Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that  while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if pwhile we were enemies   We were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by This life. Romans 5:6-10

Good Friday marks the day we celebrate the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It’s kind of odd to celebrate a death, yet His life, death, and resurrection  was so extraordinary. The past two months I’ve been, reading from the gospels. All of the Bible is important, yet the books of Matthew Mark, Luke and John depict the origin of the Christian faith. The Jews were, longing for a savior. There were many prophecy’s about who this savior would be. Many believed the savior had already arrived, speaking of Moses, Elijah etc.  Along comes Jesus of Nazareth. This Jesus was, nothing like the savior they assumed him to be. Jesus was an average, looking man who rode into Jerusalem on a donkey not a glamorous horse. He was followed by 12 men who were all sinful and some looked down upon. Jesus did not have a huge army of angels or fierce brutes to take on the Roman government.

” Do not think   I have come to abolish the law of the prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them,”  Matthew 5-17

During his life Jesus preached the gospel peacefully. As Jesus said he came to fulfill the law, not abolish it. Jesus did not come to show boat and sit in a mighty castle, eating grapes from a basket that is probably worth millions if found today. Although Jesus preformed so many miracles, such as healing the sick, the  Pharisees were not pleased with Jesus. The Pharisees felt threatened by Jesus.  So threatened  that they had him put on trail to be crucified. With his crucifixion, Jesus broke the barrier between God and man.

” For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only son, that whoever belief in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life,”- John 3-16

Jesus sacrificed himself for us. He gave his life even for the worst of sinners. He gave His life for those who do not deserve it. He gave his life for me and you. I hope we can think about this not only today, but at least for a single minute each day. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord.

Smallville Poem

This week in my Creative Writing class. we’re going over poetry. One of our exercises was to create a poem based off a character from either books, TV shows, movies etc. Since Batman vs Superman is, coming out on Good Friday I got the idea for a poem based on Smallvilles’ Clark Kent. Smallville is my all time favorite show, so working on this poem was very fun. I got good reviews for it from my classmates, so I hope you guys enjoy it as well. Now I have only six more poems to complete 🙂

[ This would be from Clark’s POV in season 2]

Someday I wish to come clean and tell the world all about who I really am.

Holding in this secrets is what hurts me the most.

At least I told Pete although I worry about him knowing

Who else has a best friend from outer space?

Not only are my parents not biological, yet we’re not of the same race.

The sun gives me strength to lift trucks, tractors, and buildings.

I can run from Smallville to Metropolis in a matter of minutes.

Still I wish I could learn to fly

Bullets only puncture my skin.

Someone could get hurt  if I sneeze

Small little rocks from my home planet do  make me weak.

What does my future  hold exactly?

What type of man will I eventually become?

Can I become the hero my father expects me to be?

Here I stand with all of this power, yet I can barely ask  Lana Lang, the girl of the dreams, out on a date.

Will I even graduate?

In the future when the world knows my secret they could compare me to a god

None the less, I am still only a man, but a superman.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Book Review!

Greetings muggles I hope you’re, having a lovely week. Last week I started to re-read the Harry Potter series all over again. After, finishing each of the seven HP novels I will give my review on these magical books. I finished Sorcerers Stone last week. IF you would like to read that book review go over here> This week I read from  Chamber of Secrets. First of all, Harry Potter is like the only books I can read over 100 pages from in one day. I just can never get bored of the wizarding world.

Chamber of Secrets begins with Harry back at the Dursley household. They still despise him, yet deal with his magical abilities. Harry has grown very bored. He waits patiently to return to Hogwarts and see his friends. For some reason, Ron nor Hermione had sent Harry any letters which bothers him. The book is titled Harry Potter, so why is he being treated as the third wheel?

On the night of Harry’s twelve  birthday Vernon Dursley  invites an important man over to his home for a business meeting. Harry is meant to remain in his bedroom, but we all know that is not going to happen. Harry gets visted by Dobby the Malfoy’s house elf.

Dobby urges Harry not to go back to school, yet Harry ignores his orders.  Harry finds out that it was Dobby who took all of his letters.  Bad Dobby!Dobby goes on to get Harry into big trouble which makes Harry more eager too return to Hogwarts.  Along comes Ron, Fred, and George to Harry’s rescue. They take Harry back to their home which Harry grows fond of.  Here he meets Mr. Weasley whom is very fascinated with the muggle community. Mr. Weasley also works for the ministry of magic in the misuse of muggle artifacts. With the Weasley’s, Harry is treated as a royal guest unlike at home with the Dursley. Remind me why Harry could not with with the Weasley’s? Harry Potter is like Justin Beiber to Ginny Weasley. Hermione sends Ron a letter, telling them she’ll be in Diagon Alley over the weekend, so the Weasley gang decide to go, shopping for school supplies then.  Harry finds out about floo powder although it did not work out well for him. First time for everything right?

Harry re-appears in Borgin and Burks, a creepy shop within Knockturn Alley. Touchy place indeed.  Harry easedrops on a conversation between Draco Malfoy’s father Lucius and  and Mr.Borgins. Mr.Borgin’s could easily be Filches twin. Draco gets insulted by his father for being outmatched by a muggle born. Harry sneaks out when he gets the chance, yet sticks out like a sore thumb among Knockturn Alley shoppers. Luckily Hagrid was around. Sure he was, getting flesh eating  slug repellent, but there must be a nicer shop which sells them in other areas. Harry returns to the others, greeting Hermione. At Florish and Blotts they meet Gliderory Lockhart. Lockhart is like the most interesting man in the world and nauseating as well. Mr. Weasley nearly gets into a slug feast with Lucius in Florish and Blots, although he probably started the fight to get away from Lockhart. That is my guess anyways. Kill two birds with one stone right? Before, leaving Mr. Malfoy sticks a dirty old diary into Ginny’s cauldron.

Harry and Ron  get separated from the others when they’re suppose to be on board the Hogwarts express. The boys decide to take the flying car to Hogwarts. Sure what could go wrong? After nearly being  wacked to death by the whooping Willow Harry and Ron are given detention. Harry signs fan mail for Professor Lockhart while Ron cleans trophies for Filch. Ron gets a howler from his mum. In his 2nd year Harry begins Herbology although Hermione seem pretty adapt already. Mandrakes would destroy my hearing completely.

Harry begins to hear noises which is strange even in the wizarding world. When Hogwarts finds out that Harry is parseltongue he starts, getting  compared to Salazar Slytherin the founder of Slytherin house.  A bunch of students get petrified by the beast which lives within the Chamber of Secrets, leaving Harry and Ron to find the source of the problem. Ron’s fear of spiders comes alive, especially when he meets Aragon. Luckily I do not have much fear of spiders, but I understand. I have a terrible fear of snakes, so I  do close my eyes a lot, during this film.

I forgot a lot from this  book. Lockhart is so annoying, yet I do not think he’s as bad as Umbridge. I lol’d when the dwarf tackled Harry to sing him his love sonnet. In the movies they make Ron seem stupid, yet he was pretty intelligent in this book. For once harry and Ron solved everything without Hermione.  Its  funny how they change what the characters said in the movies from the novels.  Many of Hermione’s quotes from the movie are actually by Ron and vice versa. Question my theory if you please, but I’m starting to think Mrs. Norris was actually a person.

We all adore our furry friends, yet his relationship with his feline seems more than friendly. She’s the only thing that brings him joy.  Filch is one of my favorite characters. He’s so rotten and cruel, but enjoyable. Dobby is the sweetest character within Harry Potter.  He was terribly mistreated by the Malfoy’s, yet so pure in heart. If Lucius Malfoy had not given Ginny Tom Riddles diary who knows if he would have ever been freed. His death still bothers me to this day. Blogging about it will not be easy, but I have a tissue box in hand.

What are your thoughts on the Chamber of Secrets? Comment below.

How many siblings do you have? What’s your birth order?  I have one older brother. He is six years older than me

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger? I’ve been a passenger for most of my life. Right now I am, learning how to drive and liking it.  That feeling U get once you hit 50 on the highway is mind blowing.  I’d like to say I’d rather be, driving.

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles or turn on the flashlight? How many of each do you own? I normally turn on a couple of my flashlights and have my cell phone or ipad mini in hand. A full moon also comes in handy.

List at least five of your favorite types of animals?  (any animal to domestic to wild to marine life) Oh I’ll do many if that is cool.

Alligator[ that is only a few of my favorite animals]

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I was so happy to see Courtney at church last Sunday.  Last week was also spring break, so I got some rest from class although I’m nearly finished with this class, because I got two weeks of assignments complete  before the semester even started. I’ve gone  so Ravenclaw! Speaking of Harry Potter I am glad to be book reviewing JK Rowling’s Harry Potter! I finished my Sorcerer Stone review yesterday. if you have not read it yet, please check it out soon ok? Here is the link>

Harry Potter and the Sourcerors Stone Book Review!!!

Last week after, watching Harry Potter Weekend on Freeform I decided to re-read Harry Potter again. It so gave me the feels!  It took me only five days to get through Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, so I decided I will blog about each of the seven books once I finish them[YES!]. It’s amazing to think how much this book changed JK  Rowling’s life. There is an entire theme park dedicated to these books!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone has such a different feel to me compared to the later novels. The first book is so short and more childlike while the later books are also geared toward children plus youths.  It’s odd how the US version is called Sorcerer’s Stone when it’s actually called the philosophers stone, but I’m not going into that debate at this time.  The beginning  takes place with the Dursley’s, explaining their background to us. In the films I think of them as just rotten. Yes, they’re still rotten within the books, yet their reasoning for tormenting Harry so more factual. They didn’t have to like magic, yet they’re still a bunch of nasty muggles.

We meet Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall for the very first time. Dumbledore explains to McGonagall that Lily and James Potter had been murdered by Voldemort and their infant son Harry will be cared for by his aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon Dursley. McGonagall does not agree with this idea, yet accepts Dumbledore’s plan for, keeping Harry safe. Hagrid shows up with Harry and they leave him on the doorstep.

Eleven years pass by. Now Harry is treated as the black sheep. He is ordered around by his aunt and uncle as well as bullied by his cousin Dudley[ worst relatives ever]. Harry had no idea  about his magical abilities until a letter from Hogwarts comes to him.  Harry had never got a letter before this. For a while his  atrocious relatives hide the truth from Harry until a half giant visits him. Hagrid gives Harry the scoop on what really happen to his mum and dad and who you-know-who was. He also says yer a wizard harry.  Without hesitating,  Harry agrees to go to school at Hogwarts, beginning his adventure.

Next Hagrid takes Harry to Diagon Alley a place full of Wizard wonders. Harry gets his school supplies and a pet owl named Hedwig. Here he meets Draco Malfoy who is somewhat worse than his cousin. Sometimes we make enemies before we make friends. At Olivander’s Wand Shop he finds his wand which use to be owned a very dark wizard.

Soon enough Harry goes to King’s Cross Station to leave for Hogwarts.  He is sort of left at the station not understanding where to find platform 9 and three quarters. His relatives just leave him there to figure it out on his own. Luckily for Harry he meets the Weasely’s. The Weasley’s are not wealthy, yet have treasure that no other family could have. Harry becomes close to their youngest son Ron. Ron is eager to make a name for himself at Hogwarts. Harry has no intention of being sorted into Slytherin house which lead the Sorting Hat to place him into Gryffindor! Along the way Ron and Harry get close to Hermione Jean Granger which creates The Golden Trio.

At Hogwarts The Golden Trio get into their first of many adventures.  In the Sorcerer’s Stone they figure out who Nicholas Flamel was and what purpose the sorcerer’s stone holds. During the Halloween feast, Harry and Ron stop a mountain troll from, hurting Hermione which leads to their friendship.  At Christmas holiday Harry finds the mirror of  erised while, searching for more clues about Nicholas Flamel. They would have found their answers much faster if they had talked to Hagrid first. Harry becomes Professor Snape’s most disliked student. Harry also joins the Gryffindor quiddtech team as seeker. Hagrid also got a pet dragon which was not a wise idea.

Harry figures out that Professor Quirrell was actually the one helping Voldemort not Snape. On the contrary Snape was, keeping Harry alive although Harry really does not show much appreciation for this. While, trying to hurt Harry,  Quirell actually hurts himself.  Love wins.

In the Hospital Wing Harry wakes up to find Dumbledore, standing over his bed. Dumbledore explains to Harry what had happen and not to worry. He also reminds Harry to not be frightened by Voldemort’s name, because fearing the name increases the fear of the thing itself[ life lesson]. At the end of the semester Harry returns to his relatives, waiting for his return to Hogwarts.

I actually had not read the first book of the Harry Potter series until 2011.  I remember after, seeing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone my family went straight to the bookstore in our local mall. My mom looked at me and said to my six year old self that someday I would read all of those books.

So that was my review on the first Harry Potter novel. Pretty great to be, reviewing my favorite series. Let me know what you guys thought of this book. I would love to know what you guys think. Now excuse me, but I’ve got some books to read.

How to Deal with Politics as a Christian

As most probably already know the United States of America will be, electing a new president at the end of the year. America will be,electing its 45th president{ we’re so young compared to other nations}. The candidates have already spent a million dollars or more on ads{ We’re never seeing those dollar bills again}. A couple months ago our pastor gave an excellent sermon on what an election year means to Christians.

As a Christian, it puzzles me as to why some Christians do not vote or vote for certain candidates who are so not Christian. Some Christians do not even discuss politics at all. Some believe Christians and other religious based groups  should not bring up their faith into political discussions. That is rubbish to me. In the USA we have freedom for religion, not from religion!

We continue to treat presidential hopefuls as gods. There are photos of Ted Cruz dressed as Superman, Hilary Clinton dressed as a queen, or Barack Obama, hanging on a cross. Some supporters of Donald Trump are calling him their messiah.  America this must stop!

As much as we may dislike them, politicians are important figures within our society.  Some are good, noble individuals  and others are quite wicked, none the less,  a politicians sins are at the same level as our own. No politician could ever be put in the same status  of Jesus Christ. There will never be a president, Chancellor, prime Minister or even a Dictator worthy to sit at God’s throne. Politicians are mere mortals, so why do we act like they’re so above us?

Earlier today my good friend Krystal Heath gave a great message on her radio show. She was, trying to remind her listeners how great it is to be an American.  Donald Trump may say we’re not great any longer, but that is one of his most stupid remarks. The United States of America is the greatest nation on the planet! It is terrible that some Americans do not understand that. This election year has got me so frustrated with the attitude of America. I love America, yet i do not like all Americans. Ok back to her message.

I am twenty one years old. I have grown up within a two story home in the state of Florida my entire life. I have all the food I could ever need. I have two dogs that i love dearly. Since 2003 I’ve owned a PlayStation console from one to PS4. The internet is my life!  For now I’m, working out of my fathers insurance business, earning some money. I am, taking classes online to improve my writing skills for my career in writing. I am also  learning how to drive. I have the greatest friends and family I could ever pray for. I am able to get infusions for my rare disorder without fearing if I can get another infusion or not.  Hope I do not sound like a jerk, yet my life is great, really great. All praise goes to the Lord for He has blessed me in so many ways. Sometimes I complain, yet really have no reason too.

Are there bad things going on within the USA? Certainly, but we need to remember that our problems are not as big as others. Look at the issues, facing a Christian in modern day Iraq. ISIS is, murdering them, because they’re Christian, yet they still  believe. Yes, they still follow God and live for Him. A group of children allowed ISIS to murder them, because they would not deny their faith in Jesus Christ. They gave up their life for God the true God of the Old and New Testament.  To me that is just so amazing and incredible. People call me brave, because I can take a little prick from a needle, but I am not sure what i would say or do in those situations.

I will end this blog like this. If U are a Christian I am, pleading for us to look at the character and principles of the people we’re electing. Do not fear these people. Do not fear what they say or do.  Do not fear being called nasty names, because you will not vote for whoever. If they’re, lying, ignoring the constitution,  or going against the word of God you should not vote for them period! God comes first above all. Remember to always stick to your faith and carry the cross God has given you. As Christians, we should not live in fear, but be excited about the future God has been, preparing for us. Heaven is going to be awesome! God bless those who read this.

What Kind of Christian are You?

Amazing post by TheDaddyBlitz. Being a Christian, following the word of God is what matters the most. Great post brother.

The Daddy Blitz

I repeatedly hear the question, “What kind of Christian are you?”, or some variation of that question. What the person asking wants to know is if I am a Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Catholic, Episcopalian, etc. Typically, I will play along and respond, “Presbyterian,” but in my head I am thinking, “What a silly question. I’m a Christian Christian.”

Passenger Book Review

Alexandra Brackan

Passenger is a fantasy, time bending adventure which was published earlier this year. Violinist  prodigy  Etta Spencer’s life goes into rewind as she’s visited by a stranger with some danger who takes her back in time. Etta learns about a special ability her family possesses.  Back in the past, she meets Nicholas Carter a seaman who is content living independently away from the Ironwood clan.  With Etta’s arrival she and Nicholas are sent on a quest throughout centuries to find a stolen object that the ironwoods want back. Danger lurks around them at every corner.

First of all let, me say wow! Passenger is an amazing novel. From start to finish, I was glued to this book. The alternate history point really caught my fancy.  Alexandra Brackan took us from one century to the next. Each setting in this story was so lively. It really gets the readers imagination running wild. The main characters of Etta Spencer and Nicholas Carter are perfect. The romance between them grew and bloomed like roses instead of being rushed like it normally is today.  Another amazing point to this book is how the author compared a woman’s life in the past to today’s modern woman. Things have definitely gotten better.  I did keep, asking myself how are they not messing up the time space continuum, jumping between time realms so frequently within each chapter. Doc would  not pleased.

Before reading Passenger I was very excited about, reading this book.  I was somewhat afraid it would not live up to its hype. For some maybe it did not,  yet it did for me. The cover is as beautiful as the story itself. The style this book was printed in is  also gorgeous.  So artsy Miss. Brackan.  If you enjoy time traveling, historical adventures with a blush of romance  I’d highly recommend this book! Seriously go get it right now!
